Wonderful natural mascara...not perfect, but worth the compromise
I have been using this mascara for more than 10 years, after a long search for a truly natural mascara. While it does tend to smudge on my eyelids after a while, it is so natural, smells wonderful and does not make my eyelashes fall out, the way that toxic industrial mascaras have done. It is not super volumizing but it does lengthen and define and, because it dries quickly, you can build up several coats without clumping.

100% Pure Fruit-Pigmented Ultra Lengthening Mascara, Blackberry
I don't often bother posting reviews but I'm *very* disappointed with this. I appreciate that it has lots of organic ingredients, is very ethical etc. but it's very expensive for such poor results.
After a long search I chose this because my eyes had been getting very itchy and although I know I shouldn't use any make up at all for a while, I really don't want to stop using mascara - it's the only make up I'm using at the moment because of allergic reactions. I thought that, being free of some known allergens etc, this one might be ok around my eyes.
I've been using it for a few days and - so far - my eyes haven't reacted, which is the important thing; but if this mascara was all they used, I don't know how they got the effect in the photo on the website! I have to put 5 or 6 coats of this mascara on for it to show it's even there and it's certainly not what I'd call "ultra lengthening". For an old bird my lashes are quite good but this mascara doesn't lengthen them at all. (I wouldn't mind so much if it added volume instead but it doesn't!)
I've worn mascara almost every day for 50 years so I have a pretty practised hand but if I apply this as per the instructions (start at the roots, wiggle it...) it always smudges. I don't have that problem with other brands I've used.
Providing my eyes don't start to react, having spent so much on this I shall continue using it until it runs out; because it's so thin I don't think it's going to last the three months after which the manufacturers - wisely - advise it should be discarded.

Allergic reaction & smudged easily
I really wanted to like this mascara! It looked promising, natural ingredients, nicely packaged and it smelled amazing, like chocolate. But unfortunately it went down hill from there… after about half an hour of wearing this on a couple of occasions I had an allergic reaction, my eyes felt very stingy and started to go puffy but when I took this mascara off the stingy sensation went away quite quickly. I do have quite sensitive skin but I was not expecting to react to any of the ingredients. It also very easily smudges, so not great if you are looking for a long lasting mascara.

Very cool mascara
I love it! I have been trying the mascara out for a few weeks and i really, really like it! It holds up like a regular mascara and is also buildable for a more dramatic look. I was expecting it to smudge on hot days but there is nothing. It's impressive that a natural mascara doesn't smudge as much or at all compared to a "normal" mascara. Very happy i made the purchase, won't be the last one. Happy to have found it :)

Very dissapointing
This mascara is almost invisible, got to apply several times to make it show, and you do feel it on your eyes.
The good things are the smell, the brush also seems ok and the mascara doesn't smudge throughout the day, but it just doesn't cover eyelashes well.Was this rating helpful? (2) (1)

Love the smell, but not as blue as I thought it would be
The smell is amazing and I love the mascara wand but it didn’t appear as blue as I thought it would. It could be because I already have dark eyelashes

love it
Convenient brush that lengthens eyelashes well and does not stick together. One drawback - mascara is imprinted on the eyelids. But I will still buy, as I am generally satisfied with the product

Smells like cocoa
I love this mascara the first natural one that does not irritate my eyes at all. It is very easy to apply and stays put, looks natural not heavy! Love it!

Impressed...
Great mascara, gives a lot of volume. After long wear the bottom lashes can become a little smudged though. Easy to remove. Wish it was waterproof.
